Gastec Corporation have been manufacturing autogas electronics control systems for world markets since 1999 (please note we do NOT manufacture Gas Detector Tubes - please visit www.gastec.co.jp for these & associated items).
The management of Gastec Corporation wish to advise that the 8 world partners who made up this design, manufacturing & distribution team have decided to discontinue their Gastec partnership.
This was decided during the course of 2010-2011 & was primarily due to the continued decline of world autogas markets.
Governments around the world publicly support the use of LPG (propane & butane) & Natural Gas (methane) as transport fuels due to their cleaner tailpipe emissions. However behind the scenes, autogas conversion taxes & a lack of fuel company support (to provide realistic wholesale pricing) has encouraged consumers to move over to other engine types such as small turbo diesels & electric/petrol hybrids.
Customers should make contact with their last distribution supplier for further information about current product availability. Some Gastec products are being rebadged under the partner companies’ names, whilst others are being discontinued.
Alternatively, Gore Research Pty Ltd in Adelaide, Australia have elected to run with some of the Gastec developed products. Their contact point can be found at www.gore-research.com.au
The management team of Gastec Corporation wish to thank all of our customers for their support over the past 12 or so years.
Malcolm Nickeson would also like to particularly thank Peter Williams for his drive to get this company together in 1999/2000. His dedicated service drove this partnership between our Italian, Dutch, American, Argentinean, Mexican & Malaysian partners to be one of the world's leaders in autogas electronics.
